Earlier in the month, as Cheer Pup Team Mom, I hosted a team bonding party. The girls (and guy) came to the house for a non-cheer related get together and swam and had pizza and dessert. It was a great time for the girls to get to know each other outside of practice! Fun, fun, fun!!!

Preschool Picture Day Practice
At 4, Carleigh still struggles with how to smile on demand. So on preschool picture day, she gave a few test shots for Mama. We'll be happy with the photos no matter how they turn out.
Parker sure has "cheese" down! He really wishes he could go to school, too. Not so much for the school aspect, but so he can be with sissy. So cute!

Family Pictures
It's been since October of last year that we took family pictures so we were due. Amanda Clarke took these pics last weekend at Bear Creek Park in Keller and the kids did surprisingly well! It was also our first weekend of potty training so we were a tad nervous taking Parker out and about but he did great, (albeit the need for the emergency car potty before heading back home). We are so happy with the photos and plan to use some for our Christmas cards (I wanted to not show the ones for the Christmas Card but I can't decide which to use)!
(I plan to do this pose in the coming years as they grow older and hopefully have one for when they are in high school).

Parker's Potty Training!
He stumbled onto some underwear in his closet Tuesday morning and pulled his diaper off and that was the catalyst that began our adventures into potty training! I will say I was nervous since he is so young, but he has been easier to potty train than Carleigh. We're only 3 days in but he is already telling me when he has to go and had a 100% successful day today. Now we just have to conquer public toilets ... he definitely has some fear associated with those.
Too young for reading material but keeping him occupied on the potty was helpful in the beginning! So proud of you Parker!

Carleigh's 1st Day of PreK!
Wednesday started Carleigh's first day of PreK! She attends Fellowship Friends United Methodist Preschool 2 days a week with a discovery day (science/technology) every other Friday. She has been anticipating this since we moved up to Trophy Club and wasn't nervous at all. It was all excitement and giddiness! The school is in the neighborhood and her best buddy Carter is in her class of 12. Her teacher is Mrs. Joyce and Carleigh's initial impression of her is positive.
After picking her up on her first day, I didn't even have to ask about the day. After introducing me to her new friend Liliana, she grabbed my hand and dragged me to the room in which her and Liliana take dance. There is an elective students can optionally take for dance that Carleigh has signed up for and her and Liliana are the only two girls that do it from her class. I went to go see the room and she told me that it was one of the best parts of her day along from the raccoon hat making. (she was wearing a construction paper raccoon hat craft on her head). She was full of stories about the sticker project they did to help them count, the reading the teacher did, loved recess, how she sat by Carter at lunch, how she ate most of her food (a big deal), how lots of kids had cheese sticks (like her), how one boy cried a lot, and the best ... she didn't get to paint and she really wanted to talk to Mrs. Joyce about that. :)
