Emerald Rainbow Playdate

Wednesday, we went out to Bulverde to Emerald Rainbow to play with Carter and Tennyson!  The place is very cute and has tons of bouncy houses, an arcade, a bowling alley, batting cages and a big train table.  The kids had a blast and it was nice to hang out with the girls, as always!

Big difference noticed in the bowling alley between boys and girls.  Carleigh wanted to put all the balls in their place and well, the boys wanted to put their own balls all over the place!  Haha.

A group photo wasn't happening.  Way to much to do!

Princess Ballerina

This morning, Carleigh grabbed her "baby dancer," as she calls it, and headed out back for a little dance session.  I told her the "baby dancer" is actually a princess ballerina and all of a sudden she wanted to be a ballerina, too.  She asked to wear a tutu and proceeded to give me a show.

You make a beautiful princess ballerina, Miss C!

Professional Maternity Pics

My friend, and professional photographer Melissa Rodriguez, http://www.photographybymelissar.com/ took these pictures at 32 weeks and I was pleasantly surprised at how they turned out!  I really wanted outdoor photos but with 100+ degree weather and a moody toddler, we decided an inside shoot would be best.

Capturing Innocence

I never get photos of Carleigh asleep, because one, her room stays quite dark with the blackout panels and two, I am afraid to use the flash and wake her.  She also has never fallen asleep in our bed (to be honest, we've tried many times when she used to be a terrible sleeper).  But today we had family over for lunch and she wanted to watch Diego in our bed.  My mom laid with her and about 20 minutes into their tv watching, Carleigh fell asleep.  It was such a rare occurance that we didn't move her, instead just put hug-a-pillows around her and checked on her often.  I had to sneak in and take a photo to capture my baby girl in such a big bed!  She looked so small!  Since our room is bright, I didn't have to use the flash, and didn't wake her.
Melts my heart.

Nice day for Sea World!

With a high of only 91 yesterday, it felt positively cool at Sea World!  Such a change from just a few weeks ago.  In fact, I had only anticipated staying for a little over an hour, but Carleigh was so interested in everything that we stayed for 2.5 hours!
It should be free for us to go since we have season passes, but this girl is utterly enamored with the dolphins.  We usually purchase 1 tray of fish, but I splurged and bought her 3 yesterday.
She was so excited to see them and show them her zebra. :)
Here you go!
The dolphins were so grateful to have Carleigh and suckers like me there!
I wasn't sure if she'd want to go into the Bay of Play or not, but of course, when she saw the water, she wanted to play!  This was the first time that we've been that she played and allowed me to sit in a chair off to the side (much needed at 35+ weeks pregnant).

She got to ride the beloved carousel a few times, too.
This was also the first time that she wanted to see animals, animals and more animals.  Normally, she just goes along with my plan.  This time, it was "more animals, mommy!"  So we saw things like the sharks/fish, otters, sea lions, and penguins that we often skip past since she usually just wants to play and see the dolphins.  We were both pooped out upon our return home!  But what a fun Friday!!!

Fun from yesterday ... continued!

So after our Hardberger Park outing yesterday, we went up to the pond in our neighborhood with the dogs and fed the turtles and fish.  I know I've posted pics of this before but we normally don't take the dogs with us.  So glad we did this time!
(sorry for the picture quality - used my phone).
Tyson was in his element!  It must have brought him back to the days when we had a pond.  We had to restrain him from jumping in!
Carleigh kept a close eye on her puppies and was so excited we could all enjoy the fish pond!
When we got back home, she wasn't quite ready for her nap, so I decided to get out our baby pool and swim under the patio.  It was comfortable outside and she had a ball!

I wish I could be this awesome in her eyes everyday.  I love you, C!

Hardberger Park Play

Serious rockstar mom alert today! Carleigh has given me an A+ today for all the fun we could have in one morning!  First, off to Hardberger Park for some playground fun!  More posts to come with pics from feeding the fish at the pond and baby pool fun on the patio!  All before noon!
Her favorite of all the playground equipment at HP?  The horseys.  She's trying to give him a kiss in the second photo.
Wee!
Concentrating ...

We practiced our "kick, step" on the beam which just so happens to be our Little Gym homework.  Great job, C!
Sliding with zebra!  He and her princess book go everywhere with us these days!  Noticing I took all these photos in the vertical orientation ... must try to remedy that!  Still great to capture the memories made this am!
